Description

In this beginner course, Skill Samurai provides foundational computer science training using Python. Covering key coding concepts such as basic conditionals, loops, and print statements, we build a series of progressively more rigorous projects that provide a solid foundation in Python programming

This introductory course is designed to turn beginners into confident coders by focusing on the core foundations of Python. Here is what students can expect:

  • Core Fundamentals: Master Python syntax, structure, and parameters through hands-on learning.

  • Essential Concepts: Dive deep into variables, data types, conditional logic, math operators, and loops.

  • Self-Guided Practice: Navigate the first half of the course with interactive activities designed to build comfort with the console and coding logic.

  • The BSD Online Platform: Utilize a professional learning environment to guide the development of technical skills.

  • Real-World Projects: Apply knowledge immediately by building two functional applications:

    • Birth-date-to-now Calculator: A tool to calculate precise time spans.

    • Encoder/Decoder: A project focused on data manipulation and security basics.

  • Tech Portfolio: Exit the camp with a digital portfolio showcasing completed projects.

  • Future Readiness: Build a solid foundation to bridge the gap toward more complex programming languages and advanced projects.
